CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union II took on Inter Miami CF II at DRV PNK Stadium on Saturday night, winning 2-1. With the victory, Union II are now in third place in the Eastern Conference with 12 points. Inter Miami CF II opened scoring in the tenth minute with a Kobi Thomas goal from the center of the box to the center of the goal. Nelson Pierre responded in first-half stoppage time, scoring on a right footed strike to the bottom right corner of the goal to even the score at 1-1, recording his first professional goal for Union II. Union II began second-half play with a second Nelson Pierre goal on a shot from very close range to take the lead. Goalkeeper Brooks Thompson recorded seven saves to help Union II secure all three points.
Union II are back at home where they will play Orlando City B on Monday, May 16th (7:00 p.m. ET / MLSNEXTPro.com).
