Phoenix Rising Forward Solomon Asante Earns USL Team of the Week Honorable Mention

PHOENIX - Phoenix Rising forward Solomon Asante was named a USL Team of the Week Honorable Mention for Week 15 of the 2019 USL Championship season the league announced today.
Asante scored a highlight-reel goal in the second half of Rising FC's 3-0 win over Orange County SC on Saturday night. The forward struck a shot off a volley and found the back of the net from over 30 yards away. The goal was good enough to be No. 10 on ESPN's Sportscenter that evening.
This is the 10th week this season a Rising FC player has been recognized by the league and the fourth time Asante has received a league honor in 2019 (best on the team).
Phoenix Rising plays in the USL Game of the Week tonight against Reno 1868 FC at Greater Nevada Field. It's the start of a two-match road swing this week. The match is scheduled to kickoff at 7:30 p.m. and fans can watch it at two official watch parties at the Pig & Pickle in Scottsdale or The Brass Tap in Gilbert. Both locations will also be showing the U.S. Men's National Team match, which begins at 6:30 p.m.
