Phoenix Battles Oakland Roots Tomorrow at Wild Horse Pass

Next up in Rising's Push for the Playoffs, the club hosts Oakland Roots SC tomorrow night at Wild Horse Pass (7:30 p.m.).
Rising will wear its gold, Childhood Cancer Awareness jerseys tomorrow for the first time
Rising learned about Jacob Weary's ongoing battle with Leukemia just as it was preparing to unveil its Childhood Cancer Awareness jerseys earlier this week. The club wanted to draw attention to Jacob's bravery, so it enlisted the help of Captain Darnell King to write a letter of encouragement and sent the Glendale resident one of the first 10 gold jerseys in the Valley.
The gold jerseys are on sale now at ShopRisingFC.com with proceeds benefitting Phoenix Children's Foundation, but due to supply-chain issues, will not arrive for another 2-4 weeks. Rising will wear the tops throughout the month of September.
Phoenix is 2-0-0 all-time against Oakland in Phoenix, outscoring Roots SC 4-0
