
Phillies send Baker's dozen to minor league camp

OTTAWA - With Opening Day less than a month away, the Philadelphia Phillies are starting to stock their minor league affiliates. Two former Lynx players headline the list of players making their way to minor league camp.
Lou Collier, who played with the Lynx in 2002, joins catchers Tim Gradoville, Jason Hill, Jason Jaramillo and Lou Marson; infielder Andrew Beattie; fellow outfielder Greg Golson; and pitchers Jim Crowell, John Ennis, Jeff Farnsworth and Brian Mazone, who were all assigned to minor league camp today, in advance of the Phillies' Spring Training game against Houston this afternoon.
Pitcher Anderson Garcia, who came to the Lynx late last season was optioned to minor league camp with outfielder Chris Roberson.
Of these 13 players, Collier, Crowell, Ennis, Farnsworth and Roberson all have Major League experience. Pitcher Brian Mazone led the International League last season with a 2.03 ERA and finished second with 13 wins for the Phillies' former affiliate, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons (now Yankees).
The Ottawa Lynx will open the 2007 season, their first season as the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, in Rochester on April 6.
