Philadelphia Wings Add 7 Players to Roster at 2019 NLL Entry Draft

The Philadelphia Wings selected 7 players at the 2019 NLL Entry Draft at Xfinity Live Philadelphia, Tuesday, September 17th. The team bolstered their defense with 4 new additions including the team's first two picks from Canada, Alex Pace and Matt Marinier. Additionally, the team secured rights to 2019 Tewaaraton winner, Pat Spencer from Loyola University. Spencer will be playing basketball at Northwestern University for his 5th year but will join the Wings in the 2020 season. Kyle Marr, Dave Smith, and Austin Fusco were NCAA Division 1 standouts and team captains. Jordan Krug, local standout from the Division 3 champion Cabrini University was also added in the 5th round.

"The NLL draft combined with this year's free agency, has allowed our team to get bigger, faster and stronger. We have improved all over the field, especially on defense and in goal," said GM and Coach Paul Day. "We are excited to take the floor for the 2019-20 season."

2nd round (21st overall) via trade with Georgia Swarm for a 2021 2nd round pick- Matt Marinier

Defense - 6-6, 225lbs

3rd Round (36th overall) - Pat Spencer

Forward - 6-3, 205lbs

4th Round (51st Overall)- Kyle Marr

Forward- 5-11, 185lbs

Johns Hopkins University team captain

4th Round (53rd overall) - Dave Smith

Forward- 5-9, 175lbs

5th Round (66th overall)- Jordan Krug

Forward- 6-1, 210lbs

Cabrini University team captain, 2019 NCAA champion

6th Round (79th overall)- Austin Fusco
