Providence, RI -- The Providence Bruins and Philadelphia Phantoms played Game 2 of their best-of-seven Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday night at the Wachovia Center, with the Phantoms taking a 2-0 series lead by way of a 3-0 win. The Bruins were shut out for the second time in the post-season, despite outshooting Philadelphia, 33-25, including 14-3 in the second period. The series will shift back to Providence for Games 3, 4 and 5, beginning on Monday, May 23. Game 4 will be played on Wednesday, May 25. If Game 5 is necessary, it will be played on Friday, May 27.
Goaltender Hannu Toivonen made 22 saves, and is 8-5 in the playoffs. The third Philadelphia goal was an empty net tally.
