Phantoms Complete Draft Phase I and II

Youngstown, Ohio: Over the past two days the Phantoms have been busy shaping their 2021-2022 roster and prospect pool via the Phase 1 and Phase 2 drafts.

On Wednesday, May 26th, during the Phase 1 (Futures Draft) the Phantoms selected 10 players from the 2005 birth class. The Phase 2 draft on Tuesday saw the Phantoms select an additional 21 players spread out between the 2005-2001 birth class.

Leading up to the draft and throughout the year the Phantoms spend countless man hours in pursuit of up-and-coming talent from around the globe. This is obvious when you look at the various leagues and levels that players are selected from prior to joining the Phantoms organization. Over the course of the last 2 days the Phantoms selected players from all over the world (USA, Canada, Russia, Latavia).

Brad Patterson, GM and Head Coach states, "Over the course of the season there is so much work that leads into these drafts. Jeff Potter, who heads up our scouting staff and network, has done a tremendous job and we are thrilled with how both days have ended up for us. We feel we have added some significant pieces to our organization moving forward and we are all excited to see them in the Phantom crest here soon."
