
Abalan Accepts Head Coaching Position at NCA

(Sioux City, IA) - Sioux City Musketeers associate head coach Mark Abalan has been named the new head coach at Northstar Christian Academy in Alexandria, Minnesota.
Northstar is a non-public high school serving grades 9-12 and fields hockey programs at the 16U and 18U levels.
Abalan spent eight seasons over three different stints behind the Musketeers bench. He was a head coach in the USHL for a season, guiding the Chicago Steel and has coached prep hockey in Minnesota at Shattuck-St. Mary's, where he served as both head and assistant coach.
Abalan won a gold medal as an assistant coach with Team USA's U19 squad at the World Junior A Challenge in 2019 before earning a bronze medal in the same role a year later.
