Pacific FC News Release

Pacific Football Club (1-4-1) travel to York Lions Stadium in Toronto, Ontario this Saturday, August 17th to face York9 FC (3-3-0). Kickoff in the game is set for 12:30 p.m. PDT.

Despite a 3-1 win at home versus HFX Wanderers on July 20th, Pacific FC have had a tough time on the road with one point across two games. The Island contingent will be eyeing three points in York to end the trip on a positive result. The return of forward Marcus Haber to the lineup has been a major boost for head coach Michael Silberbauer's side as they prepare for York9.

Pacific FC cap off a three week road trip in Ontario on Saturday that included stops in Winnipeg, Edmonton and now York.

York9 FC led by head coach Jimmy Brennan found their form early on in the Fall Season with three wins as they currently sit in third place. Despite some early success that was capped off with a major 6-2 win at home versus HFX Wanderers FC, Brennan's side enter Saturday following a 2-0 loss to Winnipeg's Valour FC at York Lions Stadium.

August 17th is an important game for Pacific FC as they look to finish off the long road trip with three points. Meanwhile, York9 will be eyeing Saturday to grab three points in front of their home crowd.

Vancouver Island fans can join in the excitement at Darcy's Pub Downtown and Westshore as well as Strathcona. The Saturday afternoon matchup will be streamed live on www.onesoccer.ca.

Make sure to grab your tickets for Pacific FC's next home game on August 24th, as Pacific FC host Valour FC in Langford for the Grand Opening of Westhills Stadium.
