Petruic Loaned to Binghamton, Adamek Activated

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, the proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers and American Hockey League's Springfield Falcons, announced defenseman Neil Petruic (peh-TROO-ick) has been loaned to the Binghamton Senators of the AHL on a professional tryout agreement (PTO).

In addition, the Thunder announced defenseman Mark Adamek (adam-ECK) has been activated off injured reserve and right wing David Rohlfs (WRALLFS) has been placed on the three-day injured reserve list.

Petruic, 26, is the fifth Thunder player to earn a call-up to the American Hockey League this season and has scored four points (2g-2a) in 14 games, additionally garnering 12 penalty minutes for Stockton this season.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound defenseman was selected in the eighth round (235th overall) by the Ottawa Senators in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft and has skated in 149 career games while scoring 27 points (6g-21a) and amassing 138 penalty minutes in his career for Binghamton and the ECHL's Thunder and Charlotte Checkers.

Petruic's PTO agreement is on a 25-game tryout basis (maximum) with Binghamton.

Adamek, 26, has appeared in five games this season for the Thunder, notching 12 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound defenseman has skated in 147 career ECHL games for the Thunder and San Diego Gulls, scoring 20 points (5g-15a) and posting 117 penalty minutes.
