Petes to Ring in the New Year with Kitchener Rangers and Post-Game Skate on Monday

December 31, 2017 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL) - Peterborough Petes News Release

(Peterborough, ON) - On Monday, the Kitchener Rangers will make their only trip of the season to the Peterborough Memorial Centre for a New Year's day match up at 2:05pm.

Finalists in the 2018 Snofest Idol contest will be providing entertainment in the arena's main lobby before the game. Finalist Aimee Gordon will perform the national anthem.

Fans are invited to take part in a post-game skate with the Petes. The skate is free and open to all fans with a game ticket, who will get the opportunity to interact with the team and collect autographs.

Participants of Sunday's Petes Holiday Fun Camp will be in attendance at the game. The 12th annual camp, which runs from 8am to 12pm on December 31, will see future Petes receive instruction from former NHL player and Petes assistant coach Mike Duco, along with several Petes players.

"The camp is designed to reinforce the fundamentals of hockey in a fun environment," said Petes Senior Coordinator of Group Ticket Sales and Service, Matt D'Agostini. "Some emphasis will be placed on proper skill development; however, our main goal is making sure all participants have fun."

Fans are invited to come down to the Peterborough Memorial Centre to see the young hockey stars in action.

Petes Holiday Flex Packs are available while supplies last.
