
Petes Kick off Weekend with Routing of North Bay Battalion

(Peterborough, ON) - After picking up 5 of 6 points last week, the Petes continued to roll on Thursday night as they kicked off a three-in-three weekend with a 6-1 routing of the North Bay Battalion at the PMC. The win moves the team back into first place in the Ontario Hockey League with a 17-6-1-1 record.
A four goal first period by Mason McTavish (13), Zach Gallant (12), Max Grondin (6), and John Parker-Jones (4) set the tone for the tilt. Cameron Butler(8) and McTavish (14) scored in the second and third periods, respectively.
Former Petes defenceman Nick Grima spoiled Tye Austin's shutout, scoring on the power play with 13 seconds left in the game.
Butler and Hudson Wilson recorded two assists each. Former Battalion David Maier, Liam Kirk, Keegan McMullen, Declan Chisholm, and Brady Hinz all had single assists.
Final shots were 47-26 in favour of the Petes. Peterborough's fifth ranked power play was 2/3 and their fifth ranked penalty kill was 1/2. Austin made 25 saves in the win.

The Petes play three games in three days this weekend, visiting the Hamilton Bulldogs on Friday, November 29 and the Erie Otters on Saturday, November 30. Both games start at 7:00pm.
