
Petes Get Set for Faith Night and 11th Annual Pink in the Rink

(Peterborough, ON) - The Peterborough Petes are set to host a pair of games at the Peterborough Memorial Centre this week against the Soo Greyhounds and Oshawa Generals.
The Soo Greyhounds make their only visit of the season on Thursday, January 30 at 7:05pm. As part of Faith Night, Peterborough native and former Ottawa Senator and Nashville Predator Mike Fisher will take part in a pre-game ceremonial puck drop as well as lead a post-game discussion about faith, family, and hockey that fans are encouraged to take part in.d
The Ennismore Eagles rookie team will skate in a first intermission mini-game, with a second intermission chuck-a-puck supporting the Trent University Relay for Life.
On Saturday, February 1 at 7:05pm the Petes and the Canadian Cancer Society will host the 11th annual Pink in the Rink game at the PMC.
Petes alumni and Pink in the Rink honourary co-chairs Mike Martone and Ian Armstrong will take part in a pre-game ceremonial puck drop alongside cancer warrior Neave Alderson, Petes President Dave Pogue, and Canadian Cancer Society Senior Manager Alison Payne.
There will be numerous opportunities to help Pink in the Rink reach their $72,000 goal at the game, including a silent auction, special Pink in the Rink t-shirts, bucket pass, second intermission chuck-a-ball, and post-game live game worn jersey auction.
Team Henry and Team Sophie, led by siblings whose mother battled cancer, will face off in a special first intermission mini-game.
Tickets for Saturday's game are currently sold out, although some may become available before game time. Fans can still support Pink in the Rink by purchasing a regular priced ticket for Petes games on Thursday, January 30 and Thursday, February 6 between Tuesday, January 28 at 9:30am and Saturday, February 1 at 9:00pm. The Petes will make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society for every regular priced ticket purchased in that window.
Tickets for Thursday and all regular season home games are available through the PMC Grant Thornton Box Office in person and over the phone at (705) 743-3561 Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 5:00pm, and 24 hours a day online.
