North Carolina FC News Release
Cary, NC - North Carolina FC announced the signing of Peter Pearson today, pending league and federation approval. Pearson joins Nazmi Albadawi, Josh Coan, Pecka, and Malick Mbaye on NCFC's growing 2021 roster.
"I'm very excited to add Peter to our North Carolina FC roster for 2021," said NCFC head coach John Bradford. "Peter is another young, motivated professional player that will be important for us in the midfield on both sides of the ball. He is both an aggressive ball-winner defensively, as well as a quality player in the attack. Overall, I think he will fit well into our team's style of play very well and I look forward to working with him."
The 25-year-old midfielder joins NCFC from Oakland Roots SC, where he played four games during the 2020 season. Previously, he played for Tormenta FC of USL League One, as well as the Des Moines Menace and Fresno Fuego of USL League Two.
Pearson attended the University of Virginia before transferring to VCU for the rest of his collegiate career. He made 36 appearances for the Rams and scored five goals.
