Perez Earns FSL Pitcher of the Week Recognition

Bradenton, Fla. - Bradenton Marauders right handed reliever Clario Perez has been named the Florida State League Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 20-April 26.

Perez made three relief appearances for the Marauders during the week, completely stifling the opposing lineup each time. He logged six innings total, did not allow a hit, walked just one batter, and struck out 10. Overall for the season, Perez has struck out 17 batters over 10 1/3 innings.

The highlight performance of Perez's banner week was a three-inning masterpiece against the Charlotte Stone Crabs. Perez tossed the final three innings of the game, striking out five and earning the win as the Marauders completed a comeback from down 6-0, kicking off a winning streak that currently stands at five games. The stellar performance came just two days after a two-inning appearance against Charlotte, featuring four strikeouts.

Overall for the season, Perez is 1-1 with a 3.48 ERA. Opponents are batting .225 against him.

Perez is 22 years old and resides in Azua, Dominican Republic. He is in his fourth season of professional baseball.
