Peoria Kings News Release

Peoria, IL. The ABA Peoria expansion team will invite fourteen players back for a second camp following the team's recent open tryout camp at Haussler Hall on the Bradley University campus.

Head coach Sergio McClain ran a non nonsense five hour camp that included several drills as well as an afternoon of scrimmages. "I'm looking for hard-nosed players," said McClain. "Players that will give 100% night in, night out. This gives me the chance to see who is vocal, a chance to see who are the leaders."

Based on their play at the camp, the following players have been invited back for the team's second camp at the end of August. Bennie Blackmon (Prairie View A & M), Carlon Butler (Urvana High, Parkland, Millikan), Willie Coleman (Peoria Manual, DePaul), Robert Davenport (Champaign Central), Julian Gorens (Springfield High, Wabash Valley, Arkansas Tech, Atlanta Hawks), Anton Hall (Chicago Manley, Kennedy King, Missouri (Kansas City) Kareem Leggette (Lakeland College), Howard Nathan (Peoria Manua, DePaul, Atlanta Hawks), Ahmid Palmer (Peoria High, Central Florida, Minnesota (Crookston), Anthony Richardson (Chicago Hirsch, Parkland College), Tyler Ryan (Rock Island Alleman, St. Amrose, Sauk Valley), Michael (Chicago King, Bradley), Ivan Watson (Peoria Manual, Illinois Central College, Tarleton State) and Michael Young (Peoria Manual).
