
Penguins Sign Reid Cashman

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have signed defenseman Reid Cashman to an American Hockey League contract, it was announced on Thursday by Pittsburgh Penguins Assistant General Manager Chuck Fletcher.
Cashman, 25, split last season between the Toronto Marlies (AHL) and the Columbia Inferno (ECHL). He posted three assists and eight penalty minutes in eight games with the Marlies, and 27 points (5+22) and 60 penalty minutes in 41 games with the Inferno.
The 6-2, 205 pound native of Red Wing, Minnesota spent four seasons at Quinnipiac University, recording 148 points (23+125) in 151 games.
