Pensacola Pelicans News Release

With the Pelicans Opening Day on May 8 rapidly approaching, there is a great opportunity to hear Pelicans Manager Mac Seibert speak. Heritage Baptist Church will host the Seventh Annual Sportsmen's Spectacular event on February 23, 2008 at the Pensacola Interstate Fairgrounds.

Pelicans Manager Mac Seibert will be the guest speaker at this year's event. He will be sharing some of his life experiences about how God has used him on and off the field.

"This is a great opportunity to share my own personal experiences with others throughout the Pensacola area about how God has affected my life," said Mac Seibert. "I love the outdoors and look forward to spending the evening at the Sportsmen's Spectacular."

The event begins at 5 p.m. with a pulled pork dinner and will conclude with Seibert as the special guest speaker. The price to attend the event is only seven dollars per person.

"We are especially excited to have Pensacola's own Mac Siebert joining us this year," said Heritage Baptist Church pastor Jeff Howard. "Not only is he the manager of the Pensacola Pelicans, but he's also an avid outdoorsman. Mac will be a welcome addition to this year's event as he shares with us significant events from his life's story."

Last year's Sportsmen's Spectacular was a huge success that drew over 1,500 people.

"This annual event has become a great experience for families in our community who share an interest in hunting, fishing and the outdoor life," added Howard. "With great food, tremendous prizes, and special guests, it is an evening that you do not want to miss."

There will be many great door prizes given away for adults and children. The grand prize will be a brand new four-wheeler. For more information about this event, contact Heritage Baptist Church at (850) 478-3316.
