Pensacola Pelicans News Release

With the Pelicans playing in the dead heat of summer, Pelicans new manager Mac Seibert decided he was going to be "cool" this year with new uniforms. The Pelicans will replace both home and away jerseys this season with new lighter more athletic tops.

The new jerseys will be a full-sleeved mesh top made out of polyester compared to the half-sleeve wool jersey from last year. The home uniform will be white with "Pelicans" across the front and white pants with a blue stripe along the side. The away uniform will feature a blue top with "Pensacola" scripted across the front instead of the grey pinstripe. Grey pants with a blue stripe will complete the away look.

"These jerseys will be much cooler and lighter to play in," said Pelicans manager Mac Seibert. "These will give us a cleaner look and be easier to keep clean and professional looking.

Striker Bat Co., a new up and coming supplier of uniforms and bats to professional baseball teams, makes this year's jerseys. The Pelicans will also get their bats from Striker Bat Co.
