Pensacola Pelicans News Release
The Pensacola Pelicans' "Where Everyone Plays" TV Commercial Contest is now a nationwide event with the help of Baseball America. The nationally published baseball magazine featured the contest in the latest edition, nominating the team as the leading candidate for promotion of the year.
"This is a great recognition from Baseball America," said Pelicans general manager Talmadge Nunnari. "There are many bright and creative promotions in minor league baseball that put on great shows for the fans at ballparks around the country."
For the contest, fans are invited to submit a fully produced TV commercial for the Pelicans 2007 advertising campaign. The winning ad can win up to $1,000, season tickets, Pelicans merchandise and have the ad aired on television throughout the Pelicans season.
March 23 is the deadline for entrees. All submitted ads will be placed on the Pelicans website (www.pensacolapelicans.com) for the public to view and vote on their favorite spot. The winning spot will be announced on Friday, March 30.
Baseball America has been around since 1981, originating in White Rock, British Columbia and has evolved into a full-service media company, with a bi-weekly magazine. Now operating out of Durham, North Carolina since 1983, Baseball America has three additional branches in New York, Chicago and Atlanta.
