Pelicans Giveaway Two Vacations to Fans

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Pelicans are showing their fan appreciation throughout the season this year by giving away two vacation packages. One package was given away on June 20. Another will be given away during the final game of the season.

Fans still have an opportunity to register to win a vacation package to Disney World. During the Pelicans final home game, August 30, one lucky fan will win this package that includes a 4 Day Park Hopper to Disney's four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, as well as hotel accommodations.

Registration is available on the Pelicans website, www.pensacolapelicans.com, by clicking on the Disney Trip Giveaway link. Forms may be turned in at the Pelicans Souvenir Shop at Pelican Park during any home game. Registrations were also available through the Scoop's Summer Safety Source publication that was distributed through the elementary and middle schools in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties, 50,000 were also distributed through the Pensacola News Journal.

On June 20, the Pelicans announced Alita Fisher as the winner of a trip for four to Six Flags Over Georgia. The trip includes admission to Six Flags amusement park and Six Flags White Water, as well as hotel accommodations.

"I am so excited to have won the trip to Six Flags! I have never won anything this big," said Alita Fisher, a Pelicans fan.

The Pelicans are taking a northern tour of the American Association, playing in Sioux City, Iowa and Wichita Kansas. The Pels return home on Friday July 31 to take on the Fort Worth Cats. There will be a celebration of the 40th anniversary of Woodstock all weekend.
