Pelicans Bring Spring Training to Local Parks

The Pensacola Pelicans are proud to announce the dates for the second annual free "Future Pelicans Clinics" instructional baseball camps in the Pensacola area.

Each Future Pelicans Clinic will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at four different locations beginning Saturday, March 11th at Myrtle Grove. Every child 7 and older is encouraged to partake in the fun.

The dates and locations are as follows:
Saturday, March 11th @ Myrtle Grove Community Center
Saturday, March 18th @ NEP Little League Complex off Nine Mile Road
Saturday, March 25th @ Gospel Projects Park in Milton
Saturday, April 1st @ Tiger Point Athletic Complex in Gulf Breeze

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. for all clinics.

Each clinic will feature professional baseball instruction from Pelicans staff, players and coaches including "T" Nunnari, Bubba Dobson, David Angeron, Pete Della Ratta, Shane Gierke, and George Hernandez. All clinics are free and participants are not required to be a member of the league where the clinic is being held to attend.

"Providing these free clinics to the greater Pensacola area is our way of kicking spring time by bringing fun-filled baseball instruction to the kids," said Pelicans General Manager George Stavrenos.

All participants will receive a free T-shirt and membership into the Pelicans Kid's Club. All Kid's Club members wearing their T-shirt will receive free entry to each Pelicans 2006 Sunday games at Pelican Park.
