
Pee Dee Cyclones Add Forward Steve Lajoie

Pee Dee Cyclones Coach & Director of Hockey Operations Mark Richards has announced that forward Steve Lajoie (pronounced La-jaa-wa) has been added to the club's pre-season roster.
Steve Lajoie, from Winnipeg, Manitoba, played last season in the Southern Professional Hockey League with the Winston-Salem Polar Twins where in 53 games he scored 14 goals and added 29 assists for 43 points. Last year was the first pro year for the 6'-1", 200 pound forward who is twenty-two years old. Steve previously played junior hockey for the Selkirk Steelers in the MJHL (Manitoba Junior Hockey League). His best year in Selkirk was the 2002/03 season where he tallied 41 goals and 62 assists for 103 points in 61 games.
"Steve is a big, strong, skilled winger who skates very well", said Cyclones Coach Mark Richards. "This will be his second year in the SPHL and Steve is looking forward to getting a fresh start here in Pee Dee. We expect him to be a hard working power forward for our club."
