Baltimore Pearls News Release

Baltimore, MD. Matt Bradby, co-owner of the ABA Baltimore Pearl professional basketball team today announced that Ollie Matson has been named Head Coach of the team. An LA native who now resides in Baltimore, MD, he played professionally with the NBA Phoenix Suns and internationally in the Philippines. Others named to the staff include assistant coaches Tim Short, Brian Wessel, and Charles Reinhart.

In additional news, Bradby stated, "Our first tryout was very successful. Many area coaches came out along with the media and said that it was rare to see so many 6'6-6'10 players at one tryout. Baltimore is known for its guards but this tryout featured the battle of the big men. Fourteen players were selected to attend the next camp."

There will be another Open Tryout Camp on Saturday, July 29th. For more information, email Matt Bradby at mattbradby@aol.com or Ollie Matson at ollie.matson@pearlbasketball.com. Or visit www.abalive.com.
