Pearce Promoted to Memphis

Knoxville Smokies News Release
The St. Louis Cardinals have promoted pitcher Josh Pearce to Triple A Memphis. Pearce (2-1, 4.09) was scheduled to start Wednesday night's game against Greenville. Juan Pena will start in place of Pearce. Pearce's roster spot will not be immediately filled, leaving the Smokies one short of the Southern League limit of 23.
