Pauley, Garcia, Harris Earn Weekly Honors

NEW YORK - San Jose SaberCats WR/DB CHARLES PAULEY, New York Dragons QB AARON GARCIA and Grand Rapids Rampage WR/LB JOHNNIE HARRIS have been named Ironman, Offensive Player and ADT Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, for Week 3 of the 2006 season.

IRONMAN: Pauley (5-10, 165, San Jose State), who is in his third AFL season, helped lead the SaberCats (1-2) to a 58-50 win over Arizona (0-3) on Sunday. He registered three receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown, and added 7.5 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 interception and 2 pass break-ups on defense.

OFFENSIVE: Garcia (6-1, 195, Sacramento State), who is in his 12th AFL season, threw for 10 touchdowns, one short of the AFL-record of 11 he co-owns, on Saturday in New York's (2-1) 84-81 win over Utah (1-2), which was the second highest-scoring game in AFL history with 165 combined points. Garcia also completed 24 of 26 passes for 354 yards and no interceptions.

ADT DEFENSIVE: Harris (6-2, 210, Mississippi State), who is in his fifth AFL season, set a career-high with 10.0 tackles while intercepting a pass and breaking up two more in Grand Rapids (1-2) 66-41 victory over the Los Angeles Avengers (1-2) on Sunday.

Ironman of the Week candidates included: Colorado's Willis Marshall, Dallas' Will Pettis, Grand Rapids' Timon Marshall, New York's Mike Horacek, Tampa Bay's Lawrence Samuels.

Offensive Player of the Week candidates included: Chicago's Matt D'Orazio, Dallas' Clint Dolezel, New York's Kevin Swayne, Orlando's Jerrian James, San Jose's Calvin Schexnayder, Tampa Bay's Bobby Sippio and Utah's Joe Germaine and Siaha Burley.

ADT Defensive Player of the Week candidates included: Colorado's Rashad Floyd, Orlando's Jeroid Johnson, San Jose's Clevan Thomas and Tampa Bay's Lynarise Elpheage.
