Paul Bissonnette Released by Portland Pirates

Portland, ME - The Portland Pirates announced Monday that they have released Paul Bissonnette from his Professional Tryout Contract with the team. Bissonnette was -1 through eight games played as a Pirate and was listed as a healthy scratch in Saturday's game against the Albany Devils and Sunday's game against the Providence Bruins.
Bissonnette, a 6-foot-three, 220 pound left wing from Welland, Ontario, signed with the Pirates as a free-agent to a Professional Tryout Contract in late October. Prior to that, he spent five seasons with the Arizona Coyotes.
