Regina Pats News Release
Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce they will be hosting Military Appreciation Night on Saturday against the Swift Current Broncos at the Brandt Centre.
The Pats will be honouring members of the Canadian Military, past and present. The PPCLI Drum Line, members of the Navy as well as other military groups will all be in attendance.
The Brandt Centre will have a military feel with camouflage rink boards and the Pats will be raffling Logan Nijhoff's game ready Blue PPCLI Jersey from the 2018 Memorial Cup opening game against the Hamilton Bulldogs.
"We are really excited for Saturday night," said Pats COO Stacey Cattell. "Our franchise holds a close tie to the PPCLI and the Canadian Military and on Saturday we get to show our appreciation for all those who have served our country."
The Pats will be raising money for Last Post Fund with proceeds of sales from the 22fresh x Pats camo hoodies going to the Fund. Established in 1909, the Last Post Fund (LPF) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure that no Veteran is denied a dignified funeral and burial, as well as a military gravestone, due to insufficient funds at time of death. Since its inception, the LPF has arranged for the respectful funeral and burial of more than 153,000 financially challenged Veterans.
Tickets for Friday's Military Appreciation Night are available at reginapats.com, the Brandt Centre Box Office and at any Regina Safeway where Fun Zone Tickets are $13 plus tax.
