Pats Look to End Weekend on High Note

Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats cap off their three-in-three weekend today at 4:00 p.m. against the Saskatoon Blades inside the Brandt Centre.

The Pats are coming off yet another massive win, taking down the Red Deer Rebels 6-5 in overtime, finishing the season series 2-1-1, grabbing five of a possible eight points this season against Red Deer.

The win also marked the Pats 15th comeback win of the season and their 31st win overall, as the Pats trailed 1-0, 3-1 and 4-3 in the contest. Connor Bedard (1G-3A) and Stanislav Svozil (1G-3A) each had four point games in the win. Parker Berge and Tanner Howe would each add a pair of assists while Kelton Pyne made 35 saves for his second win of the season. Tanner Howe and Parker Berge also chipped with a pair of assists each while Alexander Suzdalev scored his second overtime goal of the year.

Regina now shifts their focus to today where they host the Saskatoon Blades as both clubs will be playing the final game of their three-in-three weekend.

The Blades have won four straight games, as they also play the fourth game in five nights. They are coming off a 5-1 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Saturday on home ice. Charlie Wright, Jake Chiasson, Jayden Wiens, Egor Sidorov and Aidan De La Gorgendiere scored for the Blades while Ethan Chadwick made 19 saves in the win.
