Patroons Sign Chris Burns

Albany, NY (October 15, 2007) - The Albany Patroons welcome 6'0 guard, Chris Burns.

Burns, the 2002 HS New Hampshire State Player of the Year and New Hampshire Mr. Basketball, was a member of the Proivdence College basketball team as a redshirt freshman. The following season he transferred to Bryant University where he completed his eligiblity.

Burns had a successful basketball career at Bryant, as he won numerous awards each season. These awards include 2004 Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Year, 2004 New England Division II Rookies of the Year, 2004 NE-10 All-Freshman Team, 2005 Chevrolet Player of the Game by CBS Sports, 2007 Second Team All-Northeast Region, and 2007 First Team All-Northeast-10. Chris Burns led the Bulldogs with 15.5 ppg and 109 three-point field goals during his senior year.

He completed his career having won more than 90 career games, including three trips to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen.
