
Patrick Named Defensive Player of the Week

Saskatchewan Roughrider safety James Patrick has been named the CFL's Gibson's Finest Defensive Player of the Week.
Patrick led the Rider defence on Saturday in Edmonton with three interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown. The 28-year-old also had three defensive tackles and three special team tackles in the Riders 17-14 loss to the Eskimos.
So far this season the Stillman product has tallied 35 defensive tackles, seven special team tackles, six interceptions, one fumble recovery and one pass knockdown.
Patrick joins teammates Jerrell Freeman, Brent Hawkins, Luca Congi, Darian Durant and Andy Fantuz as weekly award winners this season.
