Central Valley Coyotes News Release
FRESNO â Fresno State head football coach Pat Hill will be a part of the opening coin toss ceremonies before the Coyotes home opener versus the Arkansas Twisters at Selland Arena on Saturday, April 23.
"We are honored to have Pat on hand," head coach Fred Biletnikoff Jr. said "To have him out here to support our team means a great deal to our team and our fans."
During Hill's eight-year tenure at Fresno State, the Bulldogs have become one of the top mid-major teams in the nation. In Hill's fifth season (2001), he took the program to new heights helping lead the team to a school-record 11 wins, a bowl berth, and a top-10 ranking.
Other accomplishments include: six-consecutive bowl invites (three victories), a Western Athletic Conference title, and a 37-7 home record.
While revamping the Fresno State football program, Hill has helped produce great athletes. He has coached over 50 All-WAC Selections which is the second most in the WAC.
Central Valley (1-1) looks to get their first-ever franchise win versus Arkansas (0-2) and maintain a share of first place in the Western Division. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
Fifty dollar deposits for 2005 Coyote season tickets, which include all nine games played at Selland Arena, are now being accepted at 559-263-9780.
