Regina Pats News Release

This past week

Tuesday, November 1st Regina Pats 2 Saskatoon Blades 1

The Saskatoon Blades paid a visit to the Brandt Centre this past Tuesday and the Pats picked up a little revenge from a 5-3 loss the week before with the 2-1 victory. Matt Hewitt was great again with a 26 save performance while Chandler Stephenson and Dominik Volek each scored for the Pats.

Saturday, November 5th Calgary Hitmen 3 Regina Pats 2

The Calgary Hitmen came into the Brandt Centre on Saturday night and for the second time this season, they were able to grind out the perfect road game and defeat the Pats 3-2. Jordan Weal and Lane Scheidl scored in the loss for the Pats. The turning point was mid-way through the first period, when the Pats looked to have taken a 2-0 lead on a Chandler Stephenson goal, but it was called off because of goaltender interference.

Sunday, November 6th Regina Pats 4 Medicine Hat Tigers 3 OT

For the second time this season, the Regina Pats were able to fend off Emerson Etem and the Medicine Hat Tigers in a 4-3 overtime victory. The Pats held a 2-0 lead into the 3rd period when the Tigers scored a pair of power play goals 39 seconds apart, from there the two teams swapped power play goals to send the game to overtime. Morgan Klimchuk found a loose puck on the doorstep and poked home the winner 1:34 into extra time for the win.
