Parker Bell Selected by Flames in 2022 NHL Draft

KENNEWICK, WA - The Calgary Flames selected Americans forward Parker Bell today in the fifth round (155th overall) of the 2022 NHL Draft.

Bell, a native of Campbell River, B.C., was selected by Tri-City in the fifth round of the 2018 WHL Prospects Draft. The six-foot-four and 200-pound forward finished the 2021-22 season with 18 goals and a team-high 31 assists through 64 games played. Before this season he had scored just once and totaled six assists over 61 games between the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons.

"It feels amazing to be drafted by a great organization like the Flames," said Bell. "I'm super excited for what the future holds. I want to thank the Americans, my family and billets, and my teammates and friends for helping me get to where I am today."

As a late 2003-born player, Bell was eligible to be selected for the first time in the 2022 NHL Draft.
