
Palace To Join World Soccer Fest Celebration

June 3rd 2010 - Baltimore, MD - Crystal Palace Baltimore will help celebrate the excitement of the World Cup by participating in the Baltimore County World Soccer Festival in Towson. This free, all-day celebration of local and world soccer takes place Saturday, June 12th, 2010 at Patriot Plaza in Towson, Maryland, beginning at 7:00am and culminating in the massive USA vs England match which kicks off at 2:30pm. Crystal Palace Baltimore is one of the official sponsors of the event which has been put together by WNST.net in conjunction with ASG Sports and the Towson Chamber of Commerce.
Several Palace Baltimore players will be in attendance at the festivities and will put on soccer skills demonstrations, sign autographs and distribute Palace Baltimore merchandise. The Crystal Palace Baltimore "Beat the 'keeper" inflatable will also be set up for kids and adults to show off their soccer shooting abilities.
While you can watch a total of three World Cup matches on the big-screen TV in Patriot Plaza, there will also be plenty of food and drink for the whole family available from various vendors, along with tons of other activities. The plaza is located at 401 Bosley Avenue, Towson, Maryland 21204 and will take place rain or shine.

7:00 am - Doors open
7:30 am - Greece vs. South Korea (on the BIG screen)
9:30 am - Kids events open
10:00 am - Argentina vs. Nigeria (on the BIG screen)
12:00 pm - Pre-game events, music & festivities leading up to USA game
2:00 pm - Welcome remarks by County Executive Jim Smith & introduction of local soccer programs & coaches
2:30 pm - USA vs. England (on the BIG screen)
5:00 pm - Event closes
