A pair of talented Gamecock freshman set to join the RedWolves this summer. Connor Bright a 6-0 165lb INF and Kyle Martin a 6-2 215lb 1B/LHP will play for the RedWolves in 2012. "The RedWolves are very excited about these two players coming to Florence." "Coach Tanner and his staff have continued to send us some of their quality young talent and both of these guys are having very productive freshman seasons and getting a lot of playing time." Pitching Coach Named for the RedWolves
Barkdoll adds second assistant to his staff for 2012. Keith Morrisroe from Concord University in WV, will begin his coaching career with the RedWolves this summer and serve as the team's pitching coach. Morrisroe is currently in his senior year as a player at Concord, catcher and shortstop, and has played two summers with the Wilson Tobs in the Coastal Plain League. He will return to Concord in the fall to join the coaching staff there. "With Keith joining our staff, he will bring leadership as a player combined with his desire to be a successful coach." "He has already made his plans to begin his coaching career after a very productive four years of playing at Concord and he also has the knowledge of how the CPL operates since he has played in the league." Morrisroe played for the Tobs in 2010 and 2011. He was an All Star in 2010 with the league. "The CPL is also happy to be able to help start the coaching career of one of its own, and expects Keith to do good things with the RedWolves." Jamie Young, GM.

The Florence RedWolves are a proud member of the Coastal Plain League, the nation's hottest summer collegiate baseball league. Celebrating its 16th season in 2012, the CPL features 14 teams playing in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The CPL gives college players the chance to refine their skills with the use of wooden bats. Players are housed with local host families for the summer and past experiences have been very positive for both players and hosts. Furthermore, the CPL has had over 930 alumni drafted and 46 alums make their Major League debut thus far.
