
Padres Organization Announces Open Tryouts

San Antonio Missions News Release
San Antonio - The San Diego Padres will be in town next Thursday, June 13th to hold an amateur tryout.
Baseball players ages 16-22 are invited to flash their skills in front of Padres' area scout Kevin Ellis. Position players are asked to register at 8 AM sharp. Players will be evaluated on their defensive skills, batting and 60-yard time. Pitchers are asked to register at 10 AM.
Position players are only able to try out for one position. A player cannot try out as a position player and a pitcher. Cuts will be made throughout the day.
Those under the age of 18 need a parent to sign a release waiver before trying out. Players over the age of 23 must contact the Padres directly at (619) 795-5000 for approval to take part in the tryout.
