
Pack the House Night just two days away

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Thunder are pleased to announce that the second annual Pack the House Night will take place in just two days, on Saturday, March 17 at 7:05 p.m., when the Thunder hosts the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs.
The Thunder, who have already had one sellout crowd of 9,560 this season, have less than 2,500 tickets remaining for the game. This season the fun and festivities will start early, at 3:00 p.m. Due to the local "Burn Ban", effective throughout Sedgwick County, the pregame bonfire has been canceled, however; several fun events are still scheduled:
- Lampton Lightning Thunder Dance team performance at 5:00 p.m.
- Nathan's infamous celebrity Hot Dog Eating contest at 5:10 p.m., featuring former Thunder players Vern Beardy and Sean O'Reilly, former K-State quarterback Jonathan Beasley, among others
- Free face painting and tattoos for the kids
- Free haircuts, courtesy of Great Clips, for a donation to the Children's Miracle Network. Fans can also get their hair dyed Thunder Blue or Irish Green
- A make-your-own Thunder poster booth
- Hang out with your favorite mascots, including Wu Shock, the Hometown Bee and many more
- Green Beer at the concession stands in honor of St. Patrick's Day
- Moonwalks 4 Fun inflatables
- The Top 10 "Advice to the Mudbugs" T-shirts will be on sale
- Bagpipers will entertain the fans before and during the game
- Special Green Jerseys will be worn and auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting the MDA
Pack the House Night week kicked off on Monday at 7:00 a.m. when Thunderdog took to the pedestrian walkway above Kellogg near Washington. Thunderdog will stay up there all week, from dawn "Ëtil dusk, until the game sells out. The Thunder office will also be open all that week from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and if you are a season ticketholder, you can purchase additional seats for just $7 each.
The Thunder, currently tied with Tulsa for the final playoff spot in the Northern Conference, will return to action on Friday at 8:05 p.m. at the Rocky Mountain Rage. For tickets or more information, call the Thunder office at 264-GOAL or visit our website at www.wichitathunder.com.
