
Pacifics Sweep Double Header against Federals

Prescott, Ariz. - The San Rafael Pacifics earned their first two wins of the 2013 season with a seven-inning double-header sweep of the Montezuma Federals by the scores of 11-8 and 14-5 on Saturday afternoon at Roughrider Park in Prescott, Ariz.
Right-hander Christian Scholl earned the win in game one, and Pacifics second baseman Price Kendall went five-for-five at the plate with 3 RBI.
In game two, Pacifics starter Ross Pomerantz - Marin Academy - faced only two hitters before leaving the game after being hit in the leg with a line drive. Right-hander Logan Odom pitched 3 1/3 in relief, striking out six and allowing two earned runs. The Pacifics batted around twice, scoring six runs in the fifth inning, and seven runs in the sixth inning. Right fielder Maikel Jova went three-for-four with two RBI and two runs scored.
