
Pacifics Sign Mickan, Release McGraw

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. - The San Rafael Pacifics independent minor-league baseball team has signed Texas State product Morgan Mickan. In a corresponding roster move, the organization has released outfielder Jamie McGraw.
Mickan played three seasons at Texas State and finished his senior campaign in 2012 with the second highest on-base percnentage on the team (.392). He had a perfect fielding percentage and scored 21 runs in 29 appearances.
"The Pacifics are grateful to all the efforts that Jamie gave us but we welt that it was time to provide more offense from our fourth outfielder."
In 18 games, McGraw hit .196. He walked 10 times and tallied 13 runs and three RBI.
Mickan will be activated for San Rafael's six-game series versus the Maui Na Koa Ikaika at Albert Park from July 2-7. Tickets for all games, including the Fourth of July day game and July 6 when knuckleballer Eri Yoshida, the first female in professional baseball, takes the mound for Maui, are available at www.pacificsbaseball.com.
