HILO, Hawaii - San Rafael Pacifics short stop, Danny Gonzales, singled home the go-ahead runs with a two-run single in the ninth inning to help the Pacifics beat the Hawaii Stars, 6-4, on Thursday night at Wong Stadium in Hilo, Hawaii.

After allowing a 4-0 lead to disappear, Pacifics first baseman Johnny Woodard was hit by a pitch to lead off the ninth inning. After Kyle Dhanani singled, and Morgan Mickan struck out, Gonzales singled up the middle with two strikes to drive both runners in.

Closer Colin Allen pitched around a two-out single in the bottom of the ninth to earn his seventh save of the season.

Pacifics starter, Logan Odom, received a no-decision after pitching 6 1/3 innings. He allowed just one hit - that didn't come until the sixth - but was charged with four runs. The righty allowed five walks, and struck out eight.

San Rafael (26-8) and Hilo (15-22) will play the second game of their six game series on Friday, July 12. The Pacifics will send right-hander, Christian Scholl, to the mound. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 local time.
