San Rafael Pacifics News Release
HILO, Hawaii - The San Rafael Pacifics ended their Big Island portion of the Hawaiian Island road trip with a 11-4 victory of the Hawai'i Stars on Monday night.
Maikel Jova's three-run double in the top of the sixth inning fueled back-to-back-to-back innings in which San Rafael scored three runs. The Pacifics came back from being down 2-0 in the game to win their second series against the Stars in 2013.
Starter Tyler Pearson ran into trouble early, but settled down to throw 6 innings of two-run ball to improve his record to 7-1.
Centerfielder, Zack Pace, scored three runs for San Rafael, and drove in one of his own with a stand up triple in the seventh. Kyle Dhanani, Darrick Hale, Matt Quintero, Chase Fontaine, and Price Kendall all had RBIs for the Pacifics.
The Pacifics travel to Maui on Tuesday, July 16, to play a six-game series against the second place Na Koa Ikaika, starting Wednesday, July 17.
