
Pacifics Can't Muster Enough Offense, Drop Contest to Maui

WAILUKU, Hawai'i - Christian Scholl threw six innings, allowing just four runs (one earned), and took the loss as the Na Koa Ikaika Maui defeated the San Rafael Pacifics, 6-2, on Thursday night.
The Pacifics (30-11) scored once in the first, on a single by Maikel Jova (2-for-5) - who extended his hitting streak to eight games. The only other run came in the ninth, on Zack Pace's single. Chase Fontaine, Danny Gonzalez, and Matt Quintero all registered hits for San Rafael.
Maui (30-14) starter Chad Blackwell earned his fifth win of the season, going seven innings while allowing just one earned run. With the win, the Na Koa Ikaika move back to just a game and a half back of San Rafael in the Pacific Association standings.
