SAN RAFAEL, Calif. - San Rafael Pacifics starter Christian Scholl tossed six quality innings, scattered five hits, and allowed four earned runs as the home team extend its winning streak to eight games with a 7-5 decision over Vallejo Admirals at Albert Park on Saturday evening.
Johnny Woodard had three hits, including a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth, and every Pacific who came to the plate had either a hit, an RBI, scored a run or reached base safely.
The win earned San Rafael starters their seventh positive decision during the eight-game run, a benefit of a democratic contribution from each of its nine starters on offense.
Scholl improved to 3-0 on the young season, and closer Colin Allen earned his third save in as many days.
San Rafael (11-3) and Vallejo (3-9) cap off their six-game series with a Father's Day matinee on Sunday. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. Tickets and information is available at www.pacificsbaseball.com.
