Langford, BC - Pacific Football Club has signed central midfielder Umaro Baldé to the roster for the 2022 season.
"Umaro is a young talented central midfielder coming with good youth experience," said James Merriman, Head Coach, Pacific FC. "We want to continue to develop young players like Baldé in our environment."
Baldé, 19, was born in Bissau, the capital of West Africa's Guinea-Bissau, and later raised in Portugal. He is a native speaker of Portuguese and holds citizenship in both Guinea-Bissau and Portugal. He comes to Pacific FC from Glasgow Scotland's Rangers FC Reserves side where he played for the past two years. In his youth, Baldé spent several years with SPC Sporting Portugal. The right-footer stands at 5-foot-6 inches and is known for his speed and tenacity on the pitch.
"Umaro has joined our group now in pre-season and is working hard to get up to speed with the squad," said Merriman.
