Pacific Association Announces Second Open Tryout in April

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. - The San Rafael Pacifics and the Vallejo Admirals have announced their second open tryout scheduled for Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Albert Park in San Rafael. The Pacifics and first-year Admirals, as well as other teams in the Pacific Association are still looking to fill roster spots.
Pacific Association Commissioner, Mike Marshall; Pacifics Manager, James Frisbie; and the as yet unnamed Admirals manager, in addition to other professional scouts who have been invited to the tryout will conduct the tryout.
The tryout will begin at 8:00 AM at Albert Park in downtown San Rafael. Players should expect to show off their defensive and offensive skills, and pitchers will have the opportunity to showcase their pitching ability during bullpen session and in an afternoon intra-squad game. Player signing and spring training invitation announcements will be made immediately following the conclusion of the tryout. Tryout will end sharply at 5:00 PM.
Pre-registration cost is $100 and day-of registration is $150. The tryout is open to all players but is recommended that those who wish to participate have exhausted amateur eligibility and have previous pro or college experience.
This tryout is open for viewing to the general public, and the Pacifics will be selling 2013 season ticket plans.
