Overstreet's Big Night Leads Dust Devils to Win

Tri-City Dust Devils News Release

Kyle Overstreet's three hits paced the Tri-City Dust Devils (4-6, 23-25) as the team defeated the Boise Hawks (4-6, 20-28) at Gesa Stadium on Sunday night 5-1. The Dust Devils had a four-run rally with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning to put the game out of reach for Boise.

Tri-City starting pitcher Jordan Guerrero had one of his most impressive performances of the season. Guerrero earned the win after throwing five scoreless innings. He allowed only two hits to the Hawks and finished with three strikeouts.

In addition to the three hits and two runs that Overstreet drove home, Boomer White had a multi-hit game with a pair of singles. A night removed from only having five hits and being shutout, six different Dust Devils ended the night with a base hit.

The series with the Hawks will conclude on Monday night. Left-hander Will Headean will start the fifth and final game of the series for Tri-City. Fellow southpaw Breiling Eusebio will toe the rubber for Boise. It will be a Coca-Cola Monday at Gesa Stadium, where all 22-ounce Coca-Cola products are only $1 throughout the night. Great seats are available by calling the Dust Devils' front office at (509) 544-8789 or by going to www.dustdevilsbaseball.com to purchase tickets.
