
Outriders auditions this weekend

The annual Calgary Stampeders Outriders Dance and Cheer Team auditions will take place this Sunday, Mar. 15 at Cardel Place (11950 Country Village Link N.E.). The auditions determine who will represent the Outriders and cheer on the Red and White throughout the 2009 CFL season.
The auditions will feature a celebrity judging panel consisting of Stamps kicker Sandro DeAngelis, defensive lineman Mike Labinjo, offensive linemen Jeff PIlon and Fabio Filice, Country 105 radio personality Dan Carson and Blake Burnette from Devitt and Forand Contracting. The panel will conduct interviews with each prospective dancer following the dance portion of the auditions.
Audition Details:
Date: Sunday, Mar. 15, 2009
Time: Registration at 10 a.m.
Auditions: 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Best interview times: Dancers - Noon to 1 p.m. Players and judges - 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Location: Cardel Place - 11950 Country Village Link N.E.
Details: $10 registration fee
The Stamps are looking for ladies 18 years of age or older who have the desire to showcase their talent in front of the world's best sports fans, be involved in exciting community initiatives and be a part of a great team. Dance experience not required but is an asset.
The Outriders are presented by Devitt and Forand and perform at all Stamps home games, in addition to the Labour Day rematch in Edmonton on Sept. 11 and the 97th Grey Cup championship in Calgary on Nov. 29.
