North Iowa Outlaws News Release

After a month on the road the North Iowa Outlaws came home and derailed their rival from Southern Minnesota. Fresh off clinching the Central Division Regular Season Championship, the Outlaws raised their banner, and their offensive production and they skated to a 6-2 victory in commanding fashion. Four Outlaws tallied multiple points on the night, including Shea Walters who knocked home a goal and three assist while Ross Ring-Jarvi added four helpers on the night.

Southern Minnesota struck first but a lead didn't discourage the Outlaws. Bobby Moe, Derek Donohue and Jack Paul, North Iowa's "Grind Line" came out and tied the game as Moe found Paul for the equalizer at the end of the first period. In the second, the Outlaws set off an explosion of offence as Jon Crouse let the rush on a 2-on-1 and the defensemen from Alexandria, MN snipe home a shot the put the Outlaws up 2-1. Less then two minutes later it was Shea Walters firing home a one-timer that put the Outlaws up by two, but the scoring didn't stop. The "Grind Line" was back at it as Derek Donohue scored which deflated the Express.

In the final frame Brandon Brodhag tried to get Express rolling but they tracks weren't finished as the Outlaws Bryant Skarda scored two unanswered goals knock off the Express 6-2. Robby Moss stopped 35 of 37 shots on goal in the win, his 26th win of the season. North Iowa and the Express finish off their season series tomorrow night at the North Iowa Ice Arena.
