Denver - Denver Outlaws attackman Ryan Lee has been named Major League Lacrosse's Powell Offensive Player of the Year. The Powell Offensive Player of the Year award is presented to the athlete whose offensive performance was outstanding throughout the season.

Lee was acquired by Denver in the 2019 MLL Player Relocation. He saw action in 11 games during his rookie season with the Outlaws, leading the team with 46 points (38 goals, 1 2pt. goal, 7 assists) and 25 ground balls.

Lee started and scored in all five regular-season games in 2020, notching an incredible five goals in back-to-back games, and recorded an impressive four hat tricks. Lee finished the 2020 season the league's leader in overall points (20), goals (18), and shots per game (59). Lee also appeared in his second consecutive Championship game. He was the only player to average four or more points a game during the regular season, and his total number of shots taken were 11 more than the next ranked player in the league. His 4.00 points-per-game scoring pace would have yielded 64 points in a 16-game season.

The 26-year old Lee played his college lacrosse at Rochester Institute of Technology from 2014-2017. He finished his collegiate career as the Tigers all-time leading goal and points with 237 goals and 373 points. Lee was a two-time Liberty League Offensive Player of the Year and was a two-time Turnbull Award winner as the finest attackman in NCAA Division III. He served as the Tigers team captain during his senior year.

Lee began his professional lacrosse career indoors with the Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League. In his three years playing box lacrosse, Lee has scored 57 goals and posted 73 assists in 37 career games. During the 2020 season, the Mammoth forward won the John Grant Jr. Award for Top Offenseman.

The Sharon, Ont. native is only the second player in team history to win MLL Offensive Player of the Year, joining attackman Eric Law (2017). Lee also owns a few spots in the Outlaws' record book, including No. 1 for shots on goal (76) during the 2019 season.
